Bon Sardo Mac&Cheese

Ingredients for 4 people:

-1.8lb Bon Sardo

-Saffron (Optional)

-7oz Pasta Shell

-12oz Broccoli

-Evo Oil

-Salt

-Black Peppercorn

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 350 Fahrenheit, then bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook pasta “Al Dente” according to package instructions.

Optional: flavor boiling water with saffron.

 

In a large bowl, shred Bon Sardo, then in a 3-quart baking dish, compose our layers of Mac&Cheese in the following order: shredded Bon Sardo, pasta, pepper, and a final layer of shredded Bon Sardo.

 

Bake for 25 minutes until the cheese is melted and pasta is browned on top.

 

Meanwhile, in a medium pot, heat extra virgin olive oil over a medium heat, add broccoli, salt, and water.

Cook broccoli until they become soft and tender, add pepper and blend them until completely smooth.

 

Serve Mac&Cheese, and garnish with broccoli sauce, and roasted broccoli (optional)
